Pasteur pipette

The Pasteur pipette is designed to transfer small amounts of liquid from one vessel to another. It has a fixed volume of 10 ml.

To use the Pasteur pipette:

1. Dip the pipette under the surface of the liquid you wish to transfer. It sucks up 10 ml automatically.
2. Use the slider on the pipette to release a proportion of the volume of the pipette.
3. You may also release the liquid one drop at a time by turning the flow off and then pressing the Add drop button on its toolbar once for each drop of liquid you wish to add.

Please note that the Pasteur pipette can only be used to transfer liquids. Any materials in suspension will not be transferred.
